Children seek refuge in the United States for many reasons; to escape war, gangs, or violence, to flee abuse or to reunite with family. Others enter involuntarily as labor or sex trafficking victims. In recent years the number of unaccompanied immigrant children migrating to the United States has nearly tripled and they have no representation or legal counsel, leaving them vulnerable & alone. The mission of Immigration Counseling Service (ICS) is to educate the public about the plight of unaccompanied immigrant children who have been separated from their parents, and to collect funds for legal representation. We also facilitate the reunification of unaccompanied children with their parents and family members whenever possible.
